signatio — outreach

What is said

signatio is the signing capability ontoref's gov domain exercises — custody of the key, verification of a person's signature once, and authorization of who may do what, around the act of signing. It is optional: a project chooses it. What it guarantees:

• the key that signs every answer lives with its custodian, never with the service that faces the network;
• an act a project declares human is done only by a person — never granted to an agent;
• every answer is signed, a refusal included, and anything attested is verified offline with one public key.
